The female sighed, the gathering had ended and it was a new day. She licked a paw and decided a meeting would need to happen, she had an idea of what she would do but she wanted to know what her clan would like. Icestar fluffed out her fur and climbed up the rock, her eyes bright. "Let all cat old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the High Rock for a clan meeting", Icestar waited, she saw her clan coming out of their dens or even coming back from the woods. She smiled briefly and waited.
The white oriental mix looked at her clan and decided to start, plus they might be curious on what is going on. ''Today i would like to discuss the starvation of Marshclan. I propose we help them.'' She paused wondering if there would be any reaction. ''But i would like to see what you all have to say about this''.
Icestar waited and looked down, she hopped her clan would understand, because if she was starving well she would like some one to help her clan. Even if it was humiliating. Waiting for a response she looked around for Paleflame. Icestar also hopped he would say yes to her question.

Steelpaw emerged from the apprentice den. He was taking a nap after having gone on both a dawn border patrol and a hunting patrol soon after that. He was tired and felt as if his paws would fall off after returning with only a couple mice for the fresh-kill pile. He was getting better at catching fish but still couldn't quite get the bigger ones. He was a muscular tom though and it would one be a matter of time before he could catch the bigger ones. It was apparent that Steelpaw would be a big tom and even maybe able to overpower his father. That thought send a wonderful shiver though the tom's body. It made him happy to know that he might show up his father one day.
Amused and awake, Steelpaw followed his Clanmates and took a seat under the Meeting Rock. He watched as everyone else filed along in their usual spots. He spotted his father but immediately turned away. There was no way he was going to give him the time of day as long as he was still alive. Though, Steelpaw didn't want him to die, just to suffer alive. His kits didn't love him and he was upset about it, Steelpaw guessed. Switching his attention quickly toward the leader as she spoke, Steelpaw listened inventively.
"Today i would like to discuss the starvation of Marshclan. I propose we help them... But i would like to see what you all have to say about this"
Oh yes! Let's give them some of our land and prey right before leaf-bare and see if they return the favor when we are starving. Steelpaw thought sarcastically. There was no way he was going to agree on this matter even if someone beat him senseless. He didn't like the other Clans nor did he ever think he would possibly help them in any way. They hadn't helped them in the passed when their rivers had frozen, so why should they help them now? The idea was mouse-brained to the core. But Steelpaw just say their with an angry look on his face, trying to contain himself to the best of his ability.

Cherryfur sighed as she made her way to the deputy's spot. Today had already been so much fun. Taking out her apprentice, and ordering patrols around. Speaking of patrols, it was almost time for another to go out. And it wouldn't hurt to have another hunting patrol, it never did. As the thoughts ran through her head she looked up to the leader. As Icestar spoke, the thoughts began again. This time, they were relevant and thinking about MarshClan.
She didn't know what to think about all of this. "Just as long as our clan doesn't die out trying to help them." she muttered. She could always give Icestar her own opinion later, she would let the rest of the clan have their turn for now. The deputy saw this as both a good idea and bad idea. It was good because MarshClan would owe them. The bad side was actually giving away their own prey, prey that could make a difference in their own clan possibly.
[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/color] Minnowheart slowly padded out of the warrior's den, her paws were aching from the dawn patrol. She had worked herself quite hard, and while patrolling the border and had earned a thorn in her pad. It was still a little bit painful, and after retreating the the medicine cat's den and getting it pulled out she felt much better. She spotted her apprentice and took mental note she would take him out later for training.
Listening to Icestar speak, she felt sympathy for MarshClan. But how could she feel too much sympathy when she had already lost everything? Maybe she should just go live there and starve. It wasn't like her family would miss her. No, they were all gone. And she didn't have a mate either, or kits. She could always be replaced as a mentor, though she didn't want to hurt Steelpaw. No, she would keep on until he was made a warrior. After that, who knows? "I think helping them would be very kind." she mewed softly.
[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/color] Hiding had always been her specialty. She was a master at that one skill. Her eyes scanned the apprentices den and it looked as if she were one, if not the last left. Shadowpaw had even been left by her sister. Great, just great. Now she would have to go out into the clearing all on her own. She slowly and cautiously stepped out into the clearing and saw the leader addressing the clan. Where was her sister? She didn't see her! And her brothers were out training probably. So she really was all alone. No! The black furred she-cat mewed in fear as she spotted other cats. Where should she sit? Where was her mentor? Not that she trusted her mentor just yet, but at least her mentor was used to her skittish ways.
Shadowpaw spotted two other apprentices and saw they were sitting together. Now came the hard part. Should she go sit with them or just go hide? Hiding would be the easy answer, but just as she was about to dart off she spotted her mother. Great. Now she couldn't escape. She padded just a little closer to the other two apprentices, but not too close. This was as far as she was going. Wait, what was this about helping another clan? Why would they do that? Didn't they have enough mouths to feed as it was?

Icestar looked as her clan voiced their opinion, she could see some where pissed at the idea while some where not sure, but she could also hear and see how some thought this would be a kind thing to do. Icestar was almost certain she knew what she would do, she just needed to make sure of the area and make sure her clan under stood that this is a big deal. The female yowled, she had to make sure she was getting everyone's attention. ''Alright, alright, thank you. I think i have made my decision. We as a clan have the duty to help. If we where starving dont you think we would like some help. some food? So our kits wont starve?'', Icestar looked around, hoping her clan was going in the right direction with this. ''I hope w can all understand why im giving way our north west part of the river and lake for the Marshclan cats, its far from camp and not that large of an area.'' Icestar dipped her head, she was done, but she would still have to talk to Marshclan leader and maybe to her medicine cat, not all is done. Icestar jumped from her rock and sat down close to her deputy, she hopped no one would hate her, it would be bad too, she was just a new leader. --------------------------------------------------- {Pic of area here highlight in green) i437.photobucket.com/albums/qq95/amanda1472/s8q29gnl.png}

Shadowear seemed to be one of the last cats to emerge from the woods to go to the meeting. He didn't rush when it came to meetings. He didn't like them, really. He went to them because of the warrior code. He came in as Icestar jumped from her rock. He felt a pang of envy. he longed to be leader, but he rarely showed it. He was a friendly cat, but he didn't like being a warrior.
Shadowear had heard from the woods that Icestar was thinking about giving some land to MarshClan. He scowled. He didn't like MarshClan, but he didn't hate them either. It wasn't so much that he would disagree. He looked around, then at Icestar. I ask that I state my opinion... Shadowear muttered, loud enough to hear. He raised his head and tail proudly and smirked.
He looked around. Not as many cats as he thought would be there were actually there. He looked behind him, no cats were coming. He smiled, he liked it with less people. He disliked crowds, it made him feel small.
I think that we should give them the land, but if they misuse it, we take it back. It is rightfully ours, and we are generous to let them use it. I completely understand if you disagree with me, it is not my say to make the decision. He said, being as honest as he could. He rarely talked so formally. In fact, he rarely talked at meetings.

"I think helping them would be very kind."
He heard the words of his mentor and he kind of half felt bad for his distaste in MarshClan. But there was no way he was going to be in favor of such a mousebrain idea when they needed the land more than they did. Yeah they were starving but in the past FrostClan had went hungry and didn't get any help from anyone else. So why should they give help to the worst Clan out there? Steelpaw still didn't understand the logic in giving them even a paw step of land.
The tom shook his head, spotting Shadowpaw behind him. He turned around to face her, forgetting about the meeting for a second. "Shadowpaw, I didn't see you there." His voice was in a whisper as to not draw attention to himself. He smirked at the black she-cat, blinking his pretty green eyes are her. She was such an innocent and gentle she-cat and Steelpaw had found a soft spot for her. She was pretty and seemingly fragile, Steelpaw liked her and felt a need to talk to her when no one else would. He got to his feet and padded up beside the black she-cat.
"What do you think of Icestar giving away around land?" Steelpaw asked Shadowpaw, hoping to let out his own feelings about it without actually telling the leader herself. He was only an apprentice and didn't want to seem like he was disrespecting the leader.

Icestar was overall proud of her clan, specially of her older warriors who could be very proud of their clan and would not let others hunt on the land. But Icestar was happy. She didt notice though someone spoke out and she turned around, it was Shadowear.
''Yes of course, I will set some rules. I will let them use that land for hunting, they can only go there twice a day with a hunting patrol, and they can not go any further in our land. Plus ill send three patrols of your own to make sure of that''. Icestar sat down and wonder if anyone had anything else to say, specially after she poke of the rules. Plus where was Willownight? Icestar wanted to speak with her before she left to talk to Marshclan leader. Icestar wanted to leave as soon as she was done talking to her clan mates, she wanted to leave as soon as possible. She wanted to help those cats really really soon.
Liking a paw she sighed. ''Im sorry for those who dont like this idea, but wont let cats starve and die right next to us. I will be speaking to their leader as soon as we are done here''. The she-cat looked back, hopping she would make it there in time.
