The bright, morning sunlight failed to penetrate within the deep reaches of the apprentice's den, where an apprentice slept. Her black fur slowly rose and fell with the timing of her breathing. Which was slow and rhythmic with sleep, her dreams were obviously peaceful and pleasant as every so often the corners of her mouth would twitch with a smile and a purr would rumble in her throat. Then, all of a sudden, her dream ended... The she-cat's breathing became more rapid as she awoke. Her sky-blue eyes opened slowly as she sleepily gazed around the apprentice's den... The abandoned fox set was empty of the other apprentices but she didn't mind. She would just enjoy her morning alone.
The young she-cat made her way out of the den and stretched in the sunlight. Her dark fur rippled over the muscles and the darker spots normally concealed in her black fur shown well in the bright light. She was surely happy to be able to enjoy herself at the moment, she loved the feeling of sunlight soaking into her pelt. Especially when she had just woken up, like now. It made her feel very refreshed and awake.
After she ended her stretch, the she-cat lowered onto her haunches and raised one tiny paw to her mouth to begin washing. She didn't know if anyone would come by soon but what she did know was that she was getting hungry. Maybe someone would take her out to hunt then she could come back to eat herself. The rule about elders eating first was a nuisance sometimes but she understood why it was there... Even though she would prefer to ignore it sometimes...
