Description:
Hollykit looks very similar to her oldest sister, Cloverpaw. She is almost like a miniature Cloverpaw. Her pelt is an even darker color orange than her sisters. It is more or less a red-orange color. Where her sister has light brown splotches, Hollykit has red splotches. She doesn't have the clover shaped spot her sister does, but she does have two paws that are light brown. Hollykit may not have as short of a pelt as Ivypaw does, but her fur is still considered quite short. It still has the whispy kit-like feather feel to it, which makes it appear longer than it really is. She is very very tiny, and very frail. Her eyes are the opposite of her sisters, light green with emerald flecks, looking almost identical to her dead mother's.
Personality:
Hollykit may not act like she has much of a personality, but that is as far from the truth as possible. She may be little, but is very smart. She knows how to speak, she just doesn’t want everyone else to know she can. She can speak quite well, almost in the normal range for a kit her age. Cloverpaw and Ivypaw will hear her speak their names every now and then, but when she is alone, she talks to herself, practicing her vocal skills. Since she is left alone a lot, her vocal skills have come quite far. Ivypaw takes her to the medicine cat den with her for a while each day, and plays with her, something she enjoys, and Cloverpaw comes by and visits her when she can. Hollykit couldn’t ask for better big sisters. The kit may be tiny, but she tries to not let that stop her.
She is much smarter than she is given credit for. Hollykit will most likely become quite a little troublemaker in the next few moons, when she finally shows everyone what she can do. Within the past few days she has just recently opened her eyes, so she is quite curious about the world around her moreso now.
History:
[/justify]Hollykit was born into a litter of five kits, her being the youngest and frailest. Her parents names were Lightstep and Grasshopper. When Lightstep found out she was having her second litter of kits, she was thrilled. Unfortunately Leafpaw, her older brother, and their father, Grasshopper, did not get a chance to see the new litter of kits. Grasshopper was the mentor of his son, and the two went out on a border patrol two moons before the kits were to be born. Unfortunately they were killed by rogues, and with the shock of losing her mate and son, Lightstep had the kits a moon early. There were five kits in this litter. Lightstep was only able to name them before she died from too much bloodloss. She named the oldest kit Grasskit, after his father. The second kit, a she-kit, was named Shinekit. The third kit, another tom, was named Poppykit, after her dead son from the previous litter. The fourth kit was named after she noticed him rolling around in the dirt. The last of the kits, the runt, was given the name Hollykit. Grasskit, Shinekit, Poppykit, Dirtkit, and Hollykit were all very small due to their premature birth. Two of the kits died no more than a day later, leaving Grasskit, Poppykit, and Hollykit the ones remaining. The remaining three were not expected to survive, especially Hollykit who suffered from not only being the tiniest of the kits, but also the one that didn't move around much at all. Several occasions the kit was thought to be dead, but she pulled through. Grasskit was the next kit to die, sharp winds came into the nursery, and the kit caught a horrible cold, something that wouldn't have been too much for any other kit, but for a premature kit it was deadly. Poppykit was mistaken by an apprentice for a mouse, since he looked identical to one, and was killed. Hollykit barely survived her first moon of life, and still struggles now.
