OOC name: RacingBelle character's name: Fireflight rank: Leader age: 36 moon, three years. gender: She-cat personality: Fair, quick-witted, and spuncky. why your cat is good for this role: Fireflight is good for this role because she will work her hardest for her Clan without a complant. Fireflight would happily loose all nine of her lives for her Clanmates. Anytime any day, any time; for any reason. Fireflight tries her hardest to be as fair as a cat can be, though she never makes a judgment about a cat unfairly. Rash decisions are not what this cat makes anymore. She tends to take her sweet time, weighing the pros and cons of a decision. Unless, of course, something needs a snap decision, even then she quickly weighs her options. Fireflight has slowly learned that patience is the key and she has plenty of that now. Fireflight will make mistakes but what leader doesn't? Tell me when you find a leader that didn't. RP Example: Firestar leaped proudly up to the entrance of her den. Firestar loved to watch her clan from this height. She surveyed her clan, fire colored head sweeping slowly from one point of camp to the next. Emerald eyes made sure nothing in the clan was wrong. A chuckle escaped Firestar's mouth as she watched two kits tumble and wrestle each other. They sure were cute at this age. Then a nod as Firestar saw two young warriors that didn't normally get along, joke and play with each other like apprentices. Well, they were little more than apprentices. The two had just been made warriors two sunrises ago. A flicker of movement came to Firestar's vison, a border patrol and a hunting patrol had just come in. Firestar bounded down to the ground to go hear their reports. "How are the borders? Everything secure?" Firestar asked Leapfoot. He was one of her senior warriors, the leader of the border patrol that had just came in. "Everything is fine. We refreshed the scents on each of the borders." Leapfoot replied promptly. Leapfoot looked wistfully to where the hunting patrol was putting down their freshkill. "Please excuse me Leapfoot! You must be hungry. Go ahead." Firestar said quickly, jerking her head to where the Freshkill Pill laid. Leapfoot gave a thankful nod. Firestar padded after him, going to join the other warriors to talk and joke around. Hey, it didn't mean that since you were a leader you can't have fun with your clan? Far from it. OOC name: Rose character's name: Sparrowdash rank: deputy age: 23 moons gender: tom personality: serious, work-a-holic, blunt, wise, loyal, persuasive, hard to read why your cat is good for this role: Sparrow is a work a holic so to speak so you can constantly see him working on patrols, doing things around camp, or leading patrols himself. He prefers to keep busy and puts the Clan needs over himself at all times. He is loyal and not one to ever go against the warrior code, though he does believe some rules could be bended in certain situations, though not always. He is wise and uses that to help out his Clan in a time of crisis, or in any decision making. He is also very persuasive and has strong speech giving abilities making him a good candidate for a deputy position, and will help him later on when he takes over. He tells it like it is, and though it may not be in the nicest of ways he tells the truth. He is a proud tom that prefers to keep any Clan hardships under the radar from other Clans and insists that others do the same. RP Example: Sparrow was back at camp, the tabby tom looked bored and distant. Hunting had already been planned, and most cats stomachs were filled until they all fully woke up for the morning. It was one of those lazy days where everyone would want to go out for walks with their close friends. Which was great but for those like Sparrowdash who was constantly working it made them more uneasy and slightly irritated. Proving this thought Sparrow's ear twitched at the quiet of the camp most were still sound asleep. It was an average day according to what he saw. The sky was a sort of greying blue like the muzzle of an elder. A few clouds were painted through the sky almost angrily so. The sun just peaked over the trees and stretched out its arms to the cats and creature below. So average was a good word and really he preferred it this way.Though on the breeze carried a chill every now and then and when one blew through his fur it would cause him to shiver with the cold. During this time of year his pelt was shorter and therefore he was more susceptible to cold until his winter coat kicked in. Stretching out his legs he arched his back into a stretch. His sky blue optics narrowed into slants, he was thinking. Thinking about how he could spend his day. Getting onto his paws he took a quick scope of the area before turning and walking towards the entrance. With a flick of his tail, as if bidding the camp good bye for the moment, he descended down into the ravine and into the pathway towards the open moor lands. His ears perked up and angled forward to detect the even slightest of sounds. His paws pressed into the earth softly as he made his way through the land, the familiar sights and smells allowed him to be at ease, mentally that was. On the outside his body was still rigid as if anything could happen in the next few moments.
That was a pretty good way to describe Sparrow guarded, mysterious, but undoubtedly loyal and trusting to his clan. You can say he just didn't wear his emotions on his sleeves figuratively speaking of course. To see his true form you would have to dig deeper into what made him, him and it took time. Some doubted he even had much feeling at all, but those who looked close enough could detect the emotion in his eyes however brief or lasting it was. A shutter of wings above cause him to freeze, his muscles tightened instinctively before his gaze landed on the soaring creature. Deciding the situation as not likely to succeed he eased his form just a bit and continued on his way. His muscle rolled beneath his coat as he walked showing that he was not a cat to mess around with despite his more thin and broad appearance.
It was true that Sparrow was built for speed and agility while others, much like his brother, were built for battle. He proved to use his speed as his best weapon and his fluid movement for defense. Though it did not make him untouchable for if he was caught under a large force he would more than likely be injured to some extent. Sky colored optics scanned the trees before slightly rising to the brief canopy of leaves above. They were brilliantly shaded autumn colors resembling browns, oranges, and bright yellows. It was sad to think that all of those colors would soon be gone, leaving the bark of the trees and those it sheltered unprotected. Sparrows angled ears caught the sound of softly rushing water, from he recalled the stream was not to far from where he was.
For the oddest of reason he found it inviting and different from the endless hills scene. The cinnamon tabby's ears flicked at the sound of something moving up ahead. His eyes narrowed slightly as he tried to detect the sound. Sparrow shrugged his broad shoulders it could be another cat or possible an animal in one of the few bushes. He would find out sooner or later right? Or maybe not at all, really he wasn't in the most social of moods. Which was near impossible to avoid being in a clan. His sky colored optics darted to that of a lithe female warrior, Briarsong he recalled. His face was stone like and emotionless as his gaze stretched out to the vast and distant hills. His focus not on anything in particular. His eyes suddenly shifted back to the female who was now walking towards him, smile on her face. Sparrow briefly nodded to her as she approached. "Hey sparrowdash, done sending out patrols?" she had asked and Sparrow smirked slightly. "Yes, they should be back anytime now." he answered and she nodded. "Though I suppose a quick run- by wouldn't hurt. Care to come?" she nodded and both cats started down towards the borders.

OOC name: Elise character's name: Hazelpaw rank: Med Cat Apprentice age: 6 Moons gender: She-cat personality: Hazelpaw is a very gentle she-cat. She has a soft, kind heart and love to take care of others. Because of things that have happened in her life, she is unable to bare kits, but has always had a soft spot for them. She wants to do everything she can to help others before she even thinks of helping herself. why your cat is good for this role: She's unable to have kits and has a sweet nature as well as loving to help others and she's always willing to learn, even the smallest of things are good to learn in her mind. RP Example: These lands were a blur of color to my ever wondering eyes I couldn’t see beyond my nose, but still the sun and grass laden Earth called to me and murmured sweet words that had me following them deeper into a place that was well known to my wary paws. My breath was jagged and harsh even to my own ears. How could I wonder like this much longer? There was a burning ache in my limbs that had me tilting my head toward the ground, begging it to just swallow me whole. Each step was a stumbling attempt to keep myself up right at this moment. I had no other want then to stay standing. If I fell, I wasn’t sure I would be able to force myself back onto my own four feet. I’d wither and die there, lying on my side with no voice to cry out with and no strength to defend myself. With each step I took, the muscles in my limbs twitched and spazzumed. I tripped and dropped down to my knees. No. This wasn’t happening. I would stand up and I would keep moving. I’d always been a mover and I would continue to be that way.
My ears fell backward as I shoved myself up, memories of long ago pushing me onward. It was like that day. I had to swallow my pride and give into something I had not wanted. I was a Medicine Cat Apprentice, a healer with duty that sometimes seemed beyond me. Those words left a sour taste in my mouth as I pressed onward, strength renewed in my legs. I pawed the ground in an angry sort of paw before pressing forward at an even trot. My lungs burned like sand was being rubbed against them, but I could ignore it. I could just push forward until I found some place that I could rest and feel at ease. Shelter. That was the one thought that seemed to take over my mind. I sucked in a deep breath and could smell other felines, but it was far from being as fresh as I was sure mine would be once I’d passed through here.
The dewy blades of grass soaked my legs, coating them in the thick wetness of my own sweat and the chill. I shivered against the feeling and picked up my gait. That was a dangerous thing, but I couldn’t keep up this trotting up. I had to move faster to keep the blood flowing at a pace that would warm my body. My run slowed as I scented a cave. Yes, scented. A grin bloomed on my pale kissers before I trotted inside. The sound of my claws bouncing around me had me pinning my ears and flaring my nostrils. It smelled safe enough, but one could never know. It could have been inhabited by some bear or cougar. That was at worst. At best, it could just have bats flying around over head, like buzzards. How morbid and grotesque was that? Come on. I needed to get over the fact that I had seen the desert birds in the first place. They didn’t live here. It was too cold in the winter and not hot enough in the summer.
I dropped my weight down then, resting first my knees and then my side against the ground. It was cold like the outer world, but not as much. I was well enough back from the opening that snow wouldn’t manage to drift upon me, but close enough that should another equine pass me by, they would notice a bright spot in all this dark gloom. I could see nothing and I could hear nothing. That was good though. It meant that more than likely nothing was in here that would try to ravish my body and feed it to its young. Now that would be bad. I wasn’t as hopeless or defenseless as I had been when I was younger. The wind blistered and buffeted the side of the cave and a piercing whistle of noise flowed through the cave, rousing me from my sleep. My head came up so sharply that I felt every bone in it pop at the motion. My body tensed, ready for a fight, but none came and I rose to my feet. I edged toward the opening to the cave and gazed out at this mix of gray, white and blue.
Dark shapes loomed on the horizon, but they didn’t move except for swaying with the breeze. They were more than likely trees of some sort and I had no interest in trees. They weren’t good company for a cat. Not in the least. They were objects that stood in the way and caused one to run into them by getting in their way when they were trying to flee from whatever might be behind them or were a good place for pray to hide. I tossed my head at the memory and turned my back to the opening as if it had somehow managed to offend me. Well, in a way it had. Right? Probably not.
That was when I really woke up. I'd been dreaming again, about that time long ago before I had become the Medicine cat apprentice of Rockclan. It was sad thought to think that my mind still remembered sleeping in a cave, fearing so much. I shook my head and rose from my resting place. My paws moved through the den, almost like I was taking inventory of what was here. Nothing really important showed up to me, except my mentor. I tilted my head toward her and I wondered over. A cool grin was upon my features, showing nothing of my earlier emotions. I bowed my head lightly, "What do you have for me to do today, Moonfeather?" My clear voice rose in the air between us, a soft call, spoken for her alone to answer.
