The queen rested inside the nursery, her emerald green eyes darted around the bramble lining and over to the others that were asleep inside. Anyone could see that Flamingleaf was nervous, anxious even, as she shifted a bit in her moss made nest. She hated being so confined to one space, one area it made her a bit claustrophobic to be honest. That and she felt as if she was missing everything being stuck in here. Oh how she wished to be outside running through the forest, fighting off rogues, catching prey like a true warrior. Alas that didn't see to be in her cards as StarClan seemed to love keeping her stuck in such places. She already did her time here the first six moons on her life, adding on her last litter, and now this one. Was she doomed to be one of those she-cats that's sole purpose in life was to produce kits? Such as Ferncloud during Firestar's reign so many seasons ago. It wasn't like she didn't love her kits she did, but she longed for the adventure the passion that warriors were meant to go through. And yet here she was, stuck in this blasted nursery where it was far to warm and stuffy, and the scent of milk was becoming nauseating. Was she horrible for thinking such things? The queen lowered her head, a bit ashamed for thinking so ill of the place that kept kits warm and safe, but it was her own personal prison.
Well not today it wouldn't, she was determined to get out of this place for today. No one, not even her own son Snowstar, could change her mind otherwise. Pushing herself to her paws she stretched out her longer legs, they felt stiff. Was that the use of this nursery? Having cats forget how to walk from laying here for so long? Her flame tipped tail swished behind her irritably at the thought before she sort of wobbled towards the entrance. Yes she would even wobble around just to do something, that and her belly threw her off balance a bit seeing as she is already such a small cat to begin with. This just made it that much harder to get around, and perhaps that is why she didn't try this earlier. Shrugging it off she pushed her way out of the den, her green yes dilated against the brightness of the sun's light and she blinked to help her gaze adjust. Once it did a small smile was placed on her lips and she started to walk out into camp. Her eyes glided over the familiar faces, and places of camp. Though not many were even out right now, they would be off doing warrior things while she was here. not for long she thought to herself with a smirk before she made her way to the camp entrance.
A walk was just what she needed to stretch out her legs. Taking in a deep breath she allowed a soft sigh of relief to come over her just before a cool spring breeze ran through her fur. How she missed the feeling of the wind against her face. It seemed like she was deprived of such things being a queen now. Though not today, continuing her walk she started down the ravine into the forest. In truth she was surprised that the others didn't come rushing out here to trap her back in camp. Maybe they finally gave up on trying to get to her listen and stay inside. The feeling of damp grass and earth beneath her paws was heavenly, and she paused a moment to savor the feeling. Everything seemed intensified once you were expecting, the slightest touch, smell could send you into a wave of indulgence. Maybe it was because their bodies were so sore, swollen from it that that was the reason for such feeling. Brushing the thought from her mind she turned and started to walk towards a tree, trapped beneath its roots was a pool of rain water, and Flamingleaf leaned down to lap at some of the water. It was surprisingly cool against her parched tongue and was welcomed eagerly down her throat before she lifted her muzzle and used her tongue to swipe up any water droplets around her lips. Turning she bunched her muscles and with some effort she managed to get herself onto the roots of the tree, her tail swishing behind her like a kit who just went exploring for the first time.

Snowstar yawned as he woke to the bright light of the sun, seeping through the door of his den. Opening his blue eyes he could see the sky from where he laid. Bright blue it was without one cloud in the sky. Getting up from his green, mossy bed he began picking out moss which stuck to his White fluffy pelt like burrs. Licking his paw once and swiftly rubbing a ear with it he began heading out of his den.
The bright light of the sun blinded him for a moment as it greeted him from the sky. Closing his eyes he waited until the little pain was no more in his eyes. Then he opened. The camp was very empty with just a few apprentices snaking and warriors looking rather bored. Flicking his tail, Snowstar started heading towards the nursery. Feeling very hot in his pelt.
Placing his head into the den he tried looking for his mother. No where. He hissed with announce. Where was she now? Why did she have to do this to him? Pulling his head out of the den he tried spotting his mother. No where. Uh! Not this again! He though running towards the exit of the camp.
Snowstar was now worried about his mother. He couldn't see her anywhere! "Ma? Where the heck are you?!" he yowled as a breezed ruffed his fur. He was about to go back and warn the clan before he saw Ginger fur on the root of a tree. Looking harder he saw the boulder body of his mother as she was so large with kits. "There you are." He meowed going over to the tree root. "Why must you do this do me?" He sighed looking at his mother making sure she was alright.

The fire colored female was enjoying every bit of freedom she could grasp, and was purely delighted. Her green eyes shimmered as she ran her paws along the top of the roots, which were cool under the shade of the might trees above them. Leaning back she sat on her hunches her tail falling neatly over her paws, which she could barely see of her stomach. It was weird to think that she almost forgot how her paws even looked being hidden under her belly for all this time. Soon enough these little ones would be out, and her figure would slowly come back. That was something to look forward to, that and she would be able to walked around normally even run if she wanted and no one would care. Though right now everyone watched her it was rather annoying to say the least that her tail flicked on her paws and twitched back and forth. She was no kit but everyone treated her like one, Flamingleaf go back inside, Flamingleaf it's far to cold out, Flamingleaf don't run in the rain you might fall.
It was all rather infuriating how could they expect her to just lay there all day everyday and do nothing. Well normal queens could, but being normal was vastly overrated. Her ears flicked at the sound of paw steps, and her shoulders tensed up. She had been caught, she could already feel the groan that wanted to come out but she sighed, stood up and turned around to face the cat that had broken her solitude. "There you are." the voice mewed and her green gaze landed on Snowstar. Sitting back on her hunches she stared at him calmly, if he thought he was going to sen her back he had another thing coming. She placed a calm caring smile on her pretty features. yes, here I am. she mewed softly wrapping her tail over her paws gracefully as she set her green optics on his face, he sighed. And her own eyes narrowed ever so slightly, she knew that he was waiting to scold her. darling, I am not a kit. Haven't been in quite some time, so please to do not treat me as such. she mewed keeping her voice level and smooth as she spoke.
"Why must you do this do me?" Flamingleaf flicked her tail back and forth before getting to her paws and carefully hopping down from the roots to the forest floor. I can't stay cooped up like some two leg bird Snowstar, it is not in my nature. I hate to worry you, but I don't travel to far. Im just restless I can't help it. she replied warmly trying to get him to see how much she hated being stuck in there, she tried that last time with her sons and nearly went insane from boredom and confinement. They say being a queen is a blessing, but why did she feel like a prisoner? They kept her locked away until the kits could move around and then she gets to sit outside the nursery instead of directly in it. Yea what freedom a whole mouse length from the nursery. The sunlight filtered into the forest through the canopy above and one ray caught her pelt, sending the red blazing like fire and her green eyes bright.

'Yes, here I am.' Snowstar's mother meowed with a pretty smile on her face. He could understand very well why his father fell in love with her. If the queen wasn't his mother, Snowstar could fall for too. Only she was his mother and the love he felt for her was the one of a son.
"You- he was cut of as his mother meowed in her sweet, kind voice the she had, .'I can't stay cooped up like some two leg bird Snowstar, it is not in my nature. I hate to worry you, but I don't travel to far. Im just restless I can't help it.' Snowstar sighed. It was one of those days when his mother was missing the forest. The mud under her paws, the cry of birds and the scents that were there in the forest. Snowstar really couldn't blame her for wanting to go out. He too would go mad, but that didn't change the fact that for her own good and the kits inside her that needed her safe too. Closing his eyes he thought what his brothers would say; Abberbite would if course want their mother back too, Flashpelt... He would say, 'let her do her thing.' Well Tigerstripe would have a full-blown fight with him saying stuff like, 'Why can't she go out, mousebrain?! The kits have ages to come and you could wath out for her! Mutt!!'
Snowstar sighed. He couldn't believe he was going to do this... "Alright, you win. You can stay out here until night." he meowed but before she went off he added, "And I'll be coming with you.".

Flamingleaf allowed her green optics to roam over her son's face. Searching for any signs of what he could be thinking, well deciding really as she could she he was already looking at her in that. Why are you so difficult type of way, which she got a lot from others. Though deep down it amused her to no end that it seemed no one could really tame her as most other were. In a way she was rather proud of that fact, and with that thought her eyes sparkled happily. Flamingleaf the untamable sounded much better than Flamingleaf the little queen. Yes she did like that a lot better, still she should be focusing her attention on Snowstar and so she blinked out of her thoughts and tried to wait patiently for him to come to his conclusion. Eyes soothing yet curious as she waited, lifting a paw to her lips, licking it and rubbing it along her face to keep busy while he fought it out in his brain. As he seemed to be taking his time with the decisions which meant she made him think, and that would hopefully turn out good in her favor.
"Alright, you win. You can stay out here until night." Her face lit up as the words came from his mouth and she purred in delight. It was more than she thought she would get so she was rather pleased with the outcome. Smiling at her son she mewed, wonderful! I won't go to far, promise. her voice was like honey rich with sweetness as she got to her paws and trotted over to him. Her pink tongue running along his cheek in motherly affection for her child before backing off. Knowing perfectly well at this age they didn't want to show affection as much as they used to as kits. Back then it was all about the kisses, sleeping close together and now it was the opposite. Deep down she missed the days when her first litter were kits, and the thought of her new kits growing up and feeling the same way made her a bit sad.
The saying that they grew up to fast was very true. "And I'll be coming with you." Her ears flicked in surprise at his next statement, part of her hated that he was serving as a body guard meaning she was limited even when going out, but happy that she got to spend more time with him as he was a busy tom. Still she put on a small smile anyways Even better, I don't get to really see you that often. she mewed gently before turning and starting to make her way down the familiar path of SunClan territory the sights and smells of the forest were coming back to her and just being out in the open made her feel so much better.

'Wonderful! I won't go to far, promise.' Meowed Snowstar's mother clearly happy at the thought of being free of the Nursery. She must have found the Nursery stuffy, and full. Snowstar thought trying not to smile at this thought. He would have to make sure his that they made the Nursery a little bigger. They will be soon more kits there meowing and getting in the way. The thought of more kits made his spine tickle, SunClan needed more apprentices.
Snowstar grined at his mother as she said, 'Even better, I don't get to see you that often.' He really loved his mother. How could no one not? "You don't see me that much because I'm too busy caring for the clan or finding you." He purred nodding his head at the path ahead. The path he wanted to take wasn't as steep, and he didn't want to give his mother back ache just because she thought she would climb trees or what not, because his mother was that type of She-cat.
As they walked mud stuck to Snowstar's pads and birds sang sweet tunes. "I'm thinking about making the Nirsery bigger." Snowstar meowed thinking of how the nursery would be less cramped. "Specially there's a lot of kits on the way."
