A gentle breeze fluttered into the warriors den, a stray leaf fluttered in. It was colored bright auburn as the colors of the changing leaves in many of the trees outside. Only a couple of the other warriors stirred within the den, in their quiet dreams, comforted by the sense of security the warrior's den offered. All curled up individual nests lined with soft grasses, feathers, and other things to keep warm. The only cat that seemed to stir and actually awake was a stocky and muscular tom. His muscles could be seen rippling under his pelt as he rolled from his side to his belly in the soft nest, forepaws tucked under his chest. The leaf fluttered up to him and landed upon his muzzle. He sneezed it away.
Striking blue eyes opened from tiny slits, only narrow bits of iris showed as the tom's eyes opened slowly in tiredness. His ears pulled back against his skull as his eyes squinted again as went to open his maw for a yawn. He kept it quiet enough not to disturb any other cats. The sun just lightly peeking into the den, a few rays of light streaming in, dappling the coat of the tabby tom. Being as he was closest to the exit, his upright body blocking most of the sunlight from the other warriors asleep in the den. He looked away towards the back of the den and shadows, not wanting the light in his eyes.
NightShade stared down the nest for a moment, a light sigh excaped his muzzle. The tabby tom still drozy from his sleep, huffed out a breath and searched the den for his lovely HoneyDapple. He cared for her so much, the smile on her face brightened his own everyday.

Sleepy eyes blinked open to reveal brilliant orange eyes. Lifting her head, the orange and yellow she-cat looked around her. The sleeping bodies of her clanmates had kept her warm throughout the night, but she was looking for one body in particular: the one that warmed her heart.
Honeydapple felt eyes on her and she turned to face the tom looking at her. Orange eyes met blue eyes and a smile lit the she-cats face. There was Nightsade. Her mate. Honeydapple didn’t want to disturb the other cats, but she wanted to be with Nightshade more; so, carefully, she picked her way through the warriors den to come stand by Nightshade.
She leaned down and licked his cheek and let a small purr escape from her throat. She was so happy with this tom.
“Hello, my dear. How was your night?” She greeted and asked with a gentle whisper so as not to wake the others. Honeydapple then found enough room to lay beside Nightshade. She lay close to him and entwined her tail with his. How nice it was to have someone to care for and to be cared for in return. She missed her last mate, but Nightshade made her happy and she knew that her last mate would want her to be happy. And so she was. So she was.
