Silverpool Let me fight and win. That is what I am good at. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The morning was cool and it roused me from me deep sleep. My jade gaze lifted to glare out at the pre-dawn light. To my eyes, it seemed that no one had so much as roused themselves yet and I didn’t want to be tossing and turning, that would only wake others up and I had enough tail biters to deal with. I rose slowly and stretched out a long, limber body before swiftly and silently making my exit. I padded carefully around feline after feline and allowed my eyes to travel to each and every sleeping body. I knew these cats and yet I didn’t know them at the same time. I avoided most others for the fact that I was out casted most of the time. I let a sigh roll from my body as I walked out into the over bright clearing. I ducked my head, closing my eyes tight against the force of the sun. I felt it was too early to be up, but most of the elders were and they were all feeding themselves. I nodded my head slightly in approval as I turned to the fresh kill pile, taking inventory. I’d go hunting after I fed my already growling stomach.
For a big cat, I picked something small, something that most queens would have used to teach their young to eat meat. Mice were not a favored thing for me to eat, but I would swallow it none the less and then be on my way or so I hoped. I nibbled lightly at it, looking up every now and again to gaze at the world around me. It was lovely here; cool before the heat of the day. We didn’t have a nice forest to keep our pads from feeling the sear of hot rocks, but that was okay. It made us stronger and the whole place wasn’t a giant rock slab or anything like that. I raised my marbled face to the sky and bathed in the glory of this beautiful day. I finished off my mouse and debated about rising to head out, but something told me to just lie in the sun awhile longer. I was always up by dawn and gone before anyone else rose. I could spare a moment to lay here. I never took any time for just myself and with that thought I went to grooming out any matted spots in my coat.

●● I'm checking your pulse I'm giving you air But your body disagrees And no it don't care at all I'm wasting my time ●●
[/color][/sub][/b] =====================================[/blockquote][/blockquote] Sparrow was walking through RockClan territory the vast and open hills always brought a bit of peace to the cinnamon brown tabby tom for some reason. Perhaps it was because they were so familiar that they felt safe and predictable. Which could be the reason, though somewhere deep down he felt that, that wasn't quite it. The thought nagged him to no end, but he found that if he took his mind of things then maybe the answers would become clear in due time. It was a much more plausible solution rather than ripping apart his brain for answers that he himself may not even know yet. He nodded slowly at himself as he silently agreed to his thoughts, it was a wonder how he even managed to persuade himself into thinking things at times.
What a talent it was, a great one in fact that his father used to call him Silvertongue whenever he managed to persuade someone to his side, which was often. The memory brought a slight smile to the usually stone like face of the tom cat. Pausing he lifted his nose to scent the air, it was cool and crisp as most morning air was and he breathed it in deeply. He couldn't quite understand why any other cat would want to live inside a place surrounded by tree's it would just hide the beauty and smell of fresh nature. Though he supposed everyone had their preferences and he had no right to say what was better for them.
Still the thought of being concealed so tightly by the bark of the trees made a shiver rake down his spine, and to which he cringed. Though when it passed he turned and started to walk back towards camp. The light breeze of spring blew through his semi long pelt, the tom sighed in relief. He loved being out of camp when everyone slept, it was peaceful and quiet. That and he felt that he could drop his guard and just be, and that is what he treasured most about the silence. Though a loud squawk pierced through the silence, causing Sparrow's eyes to narrow in slight irritation. His slate blue eyes flicked up at the bird that was circling around something in the distance. A slight burning curiosity seared through his brain and the tabby cat picked up his pace to get a glimpse of the poor victim. Once he started to reach the top of a hill he slowed down and allowed his head to peak over the top. His eyes fell down to a small hare that was frightened under the shadow of the bird. For reasons unknown he felt a pain of sympathy go through him, it seemed liked only a baby hare and that reminded him of a helpless kit, and that of his Clan.
Sparrow felt a sneer of disgust come across his handsome features before another loud caw, and the bird swooped down. Before he knew it he had pushed off his hind legs and raced down towards the small hare, and in moments his vision blurred as adrenaline kicked in. In the end he stood panting, the small hare had run off and a dead hawk laid at his paws. A rather long cut along his forearm was bleeding along with a smaller cut on his paw. The pain had not yet affected him as the adrenaline was slowly leaving his body, and his eyes that had dilated during this endeavor started to retract in size. As the heat was leaving his body he could now feel the deep stinging from both wounds, and he bit back a hiss but instead sat down. Lifting his leg to examine in, he could see the streaks of blood rolling from the cut. His face went stone like again as he started to run his tongue along the torn flesh, the taste was bitter to his taste buds but he continued to clean it regardless of the taste it would leave in his mouth. well at least it's not too severe, and not that deep of a wound. he thought as he continued to cleanse it. When the bleeding stopped for a moment he placed his paw down gently. Lifting his paw he saw but a droplet of blood, meaning that scratch was nothing to fret about, and would heal within a day or two.
Though with his leg it may take a week or so to heal over. Not to bad, though he hoped no one would make a big fuss over it. He could still walk, and with a bit of cobweb it would be like it never happened at all. His eyes glided down to the larger bird, at least he got prey out of it. One that would feed the Clan well later on. Flicking his striped tail in thought he got to his paws and leaned down to pick up the bird with his jaws. He closed his eyes tightly to push back the stinging of his leg, but soon enough reopened his eyes and started to slowly walk back towards camp. As he pressed on the memories of that heated moment started to flow back into his brain. He had raced down the slope just in time to allow the little hare to run free. Turning he lifted ha paw to swipe at the bird, though it had already gained acceleration from the swoop that it easily grazed his lifted leg with his talons before starting to fly away. Though at the time he ignored that pain, forgotten about it really as he leapt into the air and dug his claws into the bird the bring it down. The bird fought back and pecked at his paw, which would explain that small injury. In moments he delivered the final blow and thus leaving him to realize the damage.
His thoughts had left him for that brief moment, and really the images scared him a bit. He had never gotten that wound up before. Hopefully it would be the last time as well. Somewhere deep down told him that it was, and that he would be level headed in the future, which soothed him a bit. Before he knew it he was walking through camp and towards the fresh kill pile where he dropped his prey, unknowing of the cat who had already started to gather outside.

Silverpool Let me fight and win. That is what I am good at. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I could have bathed in the sunlight all day, but I knew that wasn’t possible. Lazing about all day was not something one should do, but something was on my mind. It was always on my mind when I wasn’t paying attention to my thoughts. There were things I knew about myself and things that I didn’t know about myself. I knew I had a brother out there somewhere. I’d heard if from a kittypet when I’d decided to wonder to close to the two-leg nests. I shouldn’t have been doing that, I know, but I really couldn’t help it. The she-cat had known my parents and seen them leave my sibling and I those many years ago. I shook my head lightly, but the thoughts would not leave me. I laid my head upon my paws and stared out at the world without really seeing it. Nothing was obvious to me and that really made me nervous. All I saw was that she-cat’s face telling me that my parents were nowhere to be found within the two legger’s living space. She’d said they disappeared when we’d been abandoned. I wondered what my brother might look like. Probably just like me.
The bird calls overhead brought my eyes to the sky. I looked at it with longing. I would have loved to fly like a bird. Just escape to a place where there was no confusion or danger. I let out a slow breath and looked back at the sun warmed ground. I laid my head against it, allowing it to warm my coat and skin. I didn’t like the cold weather that had passed and this new warm weather pleased me. Sure, I was a thick coated creature, but it mean that I retained what heat I gained. Sometimes though, it would hold water and then I would look awful for a day or two. I avoided water and puddles because of this. Rain, however, I could not run from and I was glad that not a cloud touched the sky. My tail wrapped about my limbs and I lay there, just thinking. Being consumed by my every racing mind. I was a cool and collected feline on the outside, but everything on the inside was crazy and lost. Sure, I’d been taken in by a clan, but I was still confused about who Silverpool was. I wanted to know who what kind of warrior I was.
With a heavy sigh, I rose. My mind was still completely muddled. I walked to the fresh kill pile, planning to check and see how much we had and what would be best to go and catch, but I never made it all the way there. I ran face first into another solid, furry mass. I jumped back and landed in a laying down position. I looked up at Sparrowdash with wide, shocked eyes. “Sparrowdash! I’m so sorry!” My nerves were rattled because of my odd behavior. My eyes moved away from him, trying not to show my surprise at being so foolish and not focusing on what I was doing. This was just to mouse brained. I rose and shook myself, pushing away my thoughts and feelings. I bowed my head in a show of respect before trying to get some normal conversation going between us. “What has you up so early? I’m fairly sure everyone else is still asleep.” I tried for a sweet smile, but it was hard after having run into him. Running into someone didn’t really beg to have them speak to you politely, but I always tried.

[/color][/sub][/b] =====================================[/blockquote][/blockquote] Sparrow was not even paying attention to his surroundings at the time, all he could see was flashbacks of that moment. It was weird to think that he had never had an adrenaline rush before, and he was pretty sure he didn't like it one bit. He always had control over his actions and not being able to grasp that control was enough to make him vow not to get that involved again. Just making that silent promise relaxed his thoughts and he slowly started to flow back into his own mind full of his normal over questioning thoughts. He felt a sense of peace in that moment and he lowered his head down to drop the larger bird into the pile properly, it would make a good meal for the elders or queens, whomever decided to take it first. His tongue swiped over his lips to taste the morsels of taste that was left from the bird. His eyes rested upon the fresh kill pile there was only a few pieces left even with his addition. He would make a mental note to start organizing a hunting patrol as soon as he could. Perhaps even lead it himself, seeing as he didn't mind the extra work.
The tabby tom was so deep in thought he didn't notice the she-cat until she bumped into him. His eyes widened ever so slightly in surprise as he placed out his paws to keep himself balanced. When he flicked his blue gaze towards the cat responsible he fully expected an apprentice, but instead it was one of his warriors, Silverpool. His calm facade took over his features as he steadied himself and took a step forward. silverpool, are you alright? he asked his voice cool as he saw he get up. “Sparrowdash! I’m so sorry!” A small twinkle of amusement entered his usually over serious optics, though the emotion died down rather quickly when his guard was put up again. He could see the embarrassment on her features, so much it was coming off in waves at him. He sighed one of the perks of being deputy, everyone was so scared to cross your path. It wasn't like he was going to banish them or have them cleaning out dens or something like that. It's alright, I wasn't paying much attention myself. he replied his striped tail flicked in thought for a moment before he noticed her try to change her mood to be a bit more calm. For some reason he felt a conversation coming on and in moments sat back onto his hunches, his body straight, as he was born with good posture.
Focusing his attention on her, he caught the nod of respect, and in turn dipped his head slightly. His slate blue eyes rested on her face, if one thing was true about Sparrow was that he was pretty observant and for some reason liked to analyze others faces. It helped him to really get to know them, at least that's what he felt. Though he did it subtly as he didn't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable. Still it was hard to focus his mind completely when the stinging from his leg wound acted up, glancing down he could see a small stream of blood coming from it and he quickly lifted his leg to lick the blood away. Though even the second time around he wanted to spit the bitter taste from his mouth. Placing his paw back down he straightened up, and his ears angled forward slightly to listen though his body was stiff and his face unreadable. “What has you up so early? I’m fairly sure everyone else is still asleep.” her voice echoed into his eardrums and in turn his ears twitched a bit. He knew she was trying to make up for bumping into him earlier, by being nice. I always like to go for a morning run. It'd better in this early, the air is more fresh. I don't mind waking up early. he replied his voice cool and simple as he glanced around camp.
When he thought about it she was up rather early herself. Most of his clan mates woke up around an hour or two before the sun fully rises into the sky. While he liked to be up just as the sun peaked over the horizon. Turning his gaze back on her he mewed you are up rather early yourself. something wrong? he asked.

RavenWing awoke to nothing in particular, just the gentle sound of the wind which she loved so much blowing past the den exit. All in all not many things could have made the sleek furred she-cat any happier than to be running through open fields. She squinted open her amber orbs, checking to see if the dawn's early light was shining into the den as well. She did not want to wake up for no reason in particular and risk bothering the other cats in the den with her. Seeing as just a few rays of sunlight had begun to drift into the view of the entrance, the ebony cat lifted her head off her front paws, and blinked a few more times relieving her face of that drowsy expression. The she-cat uncurled her tail from around her hind-paws and side, and rolled onto her belly for a moment the tired stare returned. Then she hauled herself onto her paws, ears flicking back. Why in StarClan's good name was she so exhausted?
Oh well, not that it mattered at this moment, it was morning! Time to start another day, and with that on her mind the she-cat slipped out of the dens barely making a sound other than the light sound of her paw-steps on rock. RavenWing paused by the den exit and blinked her amber orbs, had it gotten brighter since she stepped outside? The she-cat took a few more steps away from the den. Then she parted her jaws allowing a quiet yawn to escape her open mouth. The ebony she-cat marveled in the feeling of the sun warming her black pelt. Today may be a good day to stretch her legs a bit! She turned her head to look in the direction of the apprentices den, thinking that she had heard a noise, perhaps someone else was awake at this time? Then turning her head towards the fresh kill pile under the meeting ledge, she spotted what she was looking for, company on such a fine morning! She looked at them carefully, recalling them as her fellow warrior SilverPool and the deputy SparrowDash.
RavenWing still had a pretty much blank expression at this point, her amber orbs tired and emotionless at this moment, but seeming as she never liked to be rude, she figured she should pad over and say 'Good Morning' at the least. The she-cat feeling as if she needed a stretch, stretched out on her front paws, ears flattened, and her tail arching over her back. Then she straightened up, rolled her shoulders and allowed her soft but sure-footed paw-steps to bring her towards her other clan members. She allowed a gentle smile to grace her features, she was never one to frown at anytime unless something was seriously wrong, and seeing as today seemed to be a good day she kept the smile on her face. When RavenWing reached them she had the same smile but a cheerful light had sprung into her eyes. Remaining on her paws, rather than taking a seat for this was probably not going to be a long conversation, she flicked back her ears.
She paused unsure now whether or not to speak, though she just swallowed down her unsureness and bowed her head to SparrowDash in a motion of respect then lifted it and gave SilverPool a nod and a smile. "Good Morning SparrowDash, SilverPool" she said in turn, the words slipping out of her mouth with a sweet tone settling the uncertainty that had been there before and providing herself with the feeling that she did the right thing. Though her insides still seemed to tremble, what if she had interrupted their conversation? Would that upset them? She was always worrying herself over others and the way they felt.
