So i am a big fan of people adopting. Well that's because i love seeing cats having their full family and not having to kill them off cuz no one wants to make um. How can we fix this issues of 15CATS up for adoption? Iv sent many pms but it doesnt seem to be helping much..

I don't think putting in a ban would be a good idea, it might drive people away because they may feel like they are being forced to play a cat. And if they do end up adopting a cat, they may not play the cat often, or have no enthusiasm when posting said cat.
And most of the cats up for adoption are all in the same clan. They aren't really spread out much. I mean, SunClan has a buttload of cats, and the others aren't as many. And most of the cats wanting to be adopted are older warriors. There are hardly any kits, or apprentices. And if you also look the majority are toms. Maybe people don't feel comfortable with toms? I dunno, I'm just trying to come up with an answer, or some sort of logic.
I actually was going to create a few RockClan cats, and what I can do is open up several spots for warriors/kits/apprentices in general. I could also put up another FrostClan cat. Before you ban anything, let me see if my idea works, it may or may not. But it's worth a try, right?

I agree with Amber. I feel with all the Pm's we are forcing people to adopt cats. Take me for instance, I don't exactly want any more characters than I have right now. Plus we don't have too many members right now. Couldn't we wait and see if we get a few more new ones? Since most of the cats that need to be adopted are from the same people. So yeah I do think we need to wait a little while longer before banning adoptions.

I probably wont ban. But i hate having to see cats like kit having no mom since no one will adopt a mom. And no im not forcing im just saying. Before you make a new cat, try ad look at adoption first? Plus i dont think it matters, some say this sun clan, but can be any. so ya.. and the gender well no, as long as the person likes the cat i think adopt them.
okay the point to this thread is how to encourage people to adopt, nothing else.. Plz and thnx.

Okay, the way I see it is this. If you put a cute puppy in the pound, and an old worn down dog, who will get adopted? The puppy. It held true in the adoptions board here. Every one of Lilystream's kits got adopted, but no one wants any of the older cats.
And Amber does have a point about gender. I went and looked through to try and find a female to adopt specifically, but I don't really want another mother, and that seemed to be all there was besides toms. She also had a good point about the clans. I don't want another marsh or frost clan cat.
Sorry, I know that wasn't the question.
Now, I'm not sure how to get people to adopt them. If the 100 dollars isn't prompting them to, I just don't know what else could. Maybe if they adopted, they would get a table to go with their character and the first couple of posts didn't have to be above the word limit. TBH, though, I just don't think people want a character they haven't made up *shrugs*
And another idea would be to put a ban on trying to adopt out cats until the 15 in there got adopted.

I like the last idea!. And my self, after i make my 'main' cats i like to adopt others, i find them fun and have already interesting histories. and There are some a lot of ANYCLAN and SUNCLAN and STACRLAN cats that are not moms, they are sisters...
So myself ill try to adopt a cat today ^^ and hum, ill do that.. Thanks SKIE!

We always seem to have this problem on the sites I'm on. Specially with the sex/age thing. Most the time everyone makes she-cats and young warriors and no one makes Elders, which is something you may want to make sure we have on here =D
I think banning them may help adopt the cats but we can't ban placing cats up for adopting everytime because we reach a max. Though I agree this is a good idea.
I think also what may be another cause of members not adopting is because of us only adopting one cat per post, mostly because we don't want to be greedy or look it. So maybe tell or place down somewhere that we can adopt more than one cat per post. I think this may help others adopt. Maybe place down a limit of 3 to adopt per post? Also maybe we should try making smaller families? Because that way we won't need our 4 brothers adopted or our adoptive parents/real parents?
Kay, me is done =D

Thank you! Lol at least i usually only put 2-3 family member, usually mom-dad-sibling. That what i say usually should be.
So i shall send a pm telling everyone they dont have to limit them self for one cat per post, but please dont make more than 4 family members per cat..
Sounds good?
